3 Simple Flavored Vitamin Water Recipes You Can Make at Home
If you are one of the people who know you should be drinking more water but aren't, then you'll be happy to know that there are some great ways to make flavored vitamin water at home. As you probably know by now, sports drinks are loaded with sugar and preservatives that are probably preventing you from losing weight. In fact, one brand has been known to have more than three times the amount of sugar than a doughnut.
Here are 5 easy recipes you can do at home to make some great flavored water. And help the environment while doing it. No more unnecessary plastic bottles.
1. The Blackberry and Sage Antioxidant Flavored Water Sage leafs are known to have a high antioxidant content, along with blackberries. Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of blackberries that have been very slightly crushed + 3-4 sage leaves. Leave in refrigerator overnight before serving.
2. The Pineapple and Mint Exotic Flavored Water Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 1 cup of pineapple cut into cubes + 12 fresh mint leaves finely chopped. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
3. The Strawberry and Lime Granite (You can substitute raspberries for strawberries) Mix in a pitcher : 10 cups of water + 6 strawberries /raspberries and one thinly sliced lime + 12 finely chopped fresh mint leaves. Leave in the refrigerator overnight before serving.
